Volkswagen Presents Our EV Family at The Amelia

Earlier this month, Volkswagen of America proudly showcased the diverse lineup of electric vehicles (EVs) at The Amelia event, featuring the ID.4, ID.7, and ID. Buzz. Among them, the ID.4 stood out as the fifth best-selling EV in the U.S. in 2023, while the eagerly awaited ID.7 and ID. Buzz slated for release later this year. In addition to spotlighting the present and future of electric mobility, Volkswagen also paid homage to its rich heritage, presenting the twin-engine Golf that famously competed in the 1987 Pikes Peak Hill Climb.

The Electric Vehicle Presentation, now a fixture at The Amelia, provided a platform for Volkswagen to showcase its current and upcoming EV models alongside traditional car brands and startups. Among the highlights was the 2025 ID.7 sedan, positioned as Volkswagen’s EV flagship. Boasting luxury, spaciousness, and advanced technology, the ID.7 is set to launch in the third quarter of the year, offering rear and all-wheel-drive variants with impressive power outputs and a range of high-tech features.

Also stealing the spotlight was the 2025 ID. Buzz, a modern interpretation of the iconic Microbus, tailored for the electric era. With its spacious interior, striking design, and cutting-edge features, the ID. Buzz promises a nostalgic yet futuristic driving experience. Scheduled for release later in 2024, it aims to capture the essence of the classic Microbus while embracing EV technology.

Meanwhile, the ID.4 continues to garner praise for its blend of EV innovation, design, and affordability. The 2024 model receives significant upgrades, including enhanced power, range, and technology features, further solidifying its position as a top contender in the EV market.

The event also paid tribute to Volkswagen Motorsport history with the appearance of the legendary twin-engine 1987 Golf. Known for its daring performance at Pikes Peak, this iconic racer remains a beloved symbol of Volkswagen’s motorsport heritage, showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation and performance on and off the track.
