Volkswagen Expands the Basecamp® Accessory Line

Volkswagen is thrilled to introduce the Basecamp® accessory line for Atlas Cross Sport models, expanding on the line that has been available for the Atlas since 2020. Whether purchased individually or as a complete Basecamp® kit, these custom body-cladding elements are designed to imbue your vehicle with a rugged overland aesthetic. The accessory line also includes distinctive off-road inspired wheels, that when paired with all-terrain tires, enhance the already impressive capabilities of the Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport.

“As consumers and dealers continue to seek SUVs with rugged appearance characteristics, we will continue to offer accessory options that allow them to further personalize their Volkswagen SUV,” stated Petar Danilovic, Senior Vice President of Product Marketing and Strategy at Volkswagen of America. “Expanding the line to include the Atlas Cross Sport alongside Atlas and the Taos Basecamp styling program was a natural progression.”

First introduced in 2020, Crafted by Air Design, the Basecamp styling package for Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport models includes a two-tone textured black and satin silver front valance, textured matte black flares with integrated splashguards, satin silver side door rocker panels, and satin silver rear valance with trailer hitch access. (Please note that the styling package is not recommended for models without a trailer hitch and is not compatible with R-Line trims and Peak Edition models). The complete Atlas kit includes exclusive front quarter-panel-mounted Basecamp badges, which are not available separately (not offered for Atlas Cross Sport).

The Basecamp styling components full kit for the Atlas is priced at $2,650. Alternatively, customers can opt for individual components with the following MSRPs: front valance $680, rear valance $680, side door skid plates $769, and fender flares $645.

For the Atlas Cross Sport, the Basecamp styling components full kit is priced at $2,774. Individual accessory components are available at the following MSRPs: front valance $680, rear valance $680, side door skid plates $769, and fender flares $645.Both accessory lines also feature unique 17-inch Traverse MX wheels specially produced for Volkswagen by fifteen52. These wheels are available in two colors—frosted graphite and radiant silver—at an MSRP of $315 each.
