Volkswagen Continues to Upgrade Technology for 2024

Since the 2022 model year, Volkswagen has been redesigning or refreshing each model – resulting in the freshest VW lineup in years. Not only will you be able to choose from the refreshed 2024 Atlas family, but each new model will come with upgraded technology, driver assistance programs, and more. 

For 2024, each new automatic transmission vehicle will come equipped with IQ.DRIVE® driver assistance technology, making it one of the most widely available hands-on semi-automated driving systems on the market today. Plus, you’ll be able to enjoy 5 years of free Volkswagen Car-Net® Safe & Secure that includes Emergency Assistance, Information Assistance, Automatic Crash Notification, Anti-Theft Alert (requires the myVW app, excluding ID.4), and Stolen Vehicle Location Assistance (excluding ID.4). 

Arteon

For 2024, the new Arteon models will be available in two trims with standard 4Motion® all-wheel drive—SEL R-Line and SEL Premium R-Line. In addition, you’ll also find minor cosmetic enhancements. 

Atlas Family

For 2024, the Atlas family have been fully refreshed for the new model year. This refresh comes in the form of significant interior upgrades with premium materials and elegant design, new standard content and driver technology, and new 2.0-liter turbo powertrain to replace the previous four-cylinder and CR6 options. Plus – the Rugged Atlas Peak Edition trimline for those constantly looking for adventure. 

The Atlas comes in six different trim levels that include two Peak Editions, powered solely by a four-cylinder turbocharged and direct-injection TSI® engine with 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The Atlas Cross Sport will come in five different trim levels, with Volkswagen’s 4Motion® all-wheel-drive system available across the model family lineup. A leatherette-trimmed soft-touch dash and center console, front-row door trim and décor creating an upscale cockpit, available ambient lighting with 30 color choices paired with innovative backlit dash décor, and more await you in your new Atlas. 

Golf GTI

The Golf GTI will be available in three main trims: the S, SE and Autobahn. Power-folding mirrors will be found on all trims, and a new wheel design can be seen on the SE trimline. A special equipment set called “GTI 380” will also be available—more details will come at a later date.

Golf R

The classic and beloved Golf R will come with minor cosmetic changes, including power-folding exterior mirrors and a new 19-inch wheel design. 

Jetta & Jetta GLI

The Jetta will come in four trims: the S, Sport, SE and SEL. The Jetta GLI will come in two trims: the 40th Anniversary Edition and the Autobahn. Now offering  standard IQ.DRIVE driver assistance technology on all models with automatic transmission (the full feature set outside of Emergency Assist is also standard on all models with manual transmission). In addition, S trims add an eco-leather trimmed steering wheel, gearshift knob in leather, auto-dimming rearview mirror, and rain-sensing wiper function. Sport trims add heated front seats and a space-saving spare wheel. GLI Autobahn models add a heated steering wheel for model year 2024.

Taos

The Taos will come in three trims: the S, SE and SEL. Along with standard IQ.DRIVE, all three trims offer a new interior stitching. S trims add Light Assist, rain-sensing wiper function, and a heated leatherette trimmed steering wheel. SE models upgrade to dual-zone Climatronic automatic climate control and an SE Black package (later availability) will offer a black roof, wheels and additional blackout exterior design elements.

Tiguan

The beloved Tiguan will come in four trims: the S, SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL R-Line. S trims will add auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing wiper function, and a leatherette trimmed steering wheel. A mid-model-year update will also include the MIB3 Composition Media infotainment system with wireless charging and wireless App-Connect.
