The Special-Edition 2024 Volkswagen Golf GTI 380

The 2024 model year marks the last year for the three-pedal production of the Golf GTI. To celebrate the heritage of the manual transmission GTI, the 2024 model will include a special equipment set that will be found on every manual GTI – the Golf GTI 380. Distinctive design details include 19-inch gloss black multi-spoke aluminum-alloy wheels, a gloss black roof and mirror caps, and exclusive Graphite Gray Metallic exterior color.

The “380” comes from the Mk8’s model code, giving a nod to the fourth-generation GTI 337 special edition released in 2002 that borrowed the model code from the Mk1 GTI. The design and performance-enhancing elements of the 380 are those valued by VW enthusiasts, paired with an exclusive color: Graphite Gray Metallic. The 2024 Golf GTI S, SE, and Autobahn manual models will come standard with the 380 equipment, and include a standard DCC® adaptive damping system and multi-spoke gloss black 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels that come from the Golf R 20th Anniversary Edition. A gloss black painted roof and mirror caps stand out against the classic red exterior detailing of the GTI.

Inside the GTI 380 is the story of the GTI history with a golf-ball inspired manual shift knob and honeycomb accents. S and SE trims feature classic Scalepaper Plaid cloth seats, while Vienna leather seating surfaces come standard for the Autobahn trim. GTI 380 tris are powered by a turbocharged EA888 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. This model is the last Golf GTI to be offered with a 6-speed manual, while the 7-speed dual-clutch DSG® transmission will carry forward on future GTI models and on the Golf R.
