Get Ready for the ID.7 Electric Sedan

April 24th, 2023 by

Volkswagen has introduced the next model to join the all-electric lineup: The ID.7 upper mid-size sedan. With an estimated potential range of up to 435 miles / 700 km, a revised powertrain, spacious interior and premium technology, the ID.7 is perfect for any long-distance drive you’re planning to embark on. Set to take over the electric market just a few short years after the ID.4 SUV, the ID.7 is equipped with customer-focused concepts and a high-quality appearance. An exciting Volkswagen addition that you won’t want to miss.

As the first MEB with a new efficient drivetrain, 282 horsepower, ranges up to 435 miles, and DC fast charging capacities of up to 200 kW, the ID.7 is the most powerful VW EV to date. Coming in at 195.3 inches long, the ID.7 is designed with aerodynamic principles. The sloping roof gives an excellent drag coefficient of 23 depending on equipment. The long wheelbase and short overhangs create plenty of interior space.

Inside the ID.7 is a new display concept – created with feedback from Volkswagen customers. This includes a 15-inch infotainment system screen, an augmented reality head-up display, a new AC concept integrated into the infotainment system, and backlit touch sliders. New massage seats and an available electro-chromic dimming panoramic roof offers a luxury experience you won’t find in other VW models. Plus – you can control most ID.7 technology, including the dimming roof, with voice commands.

For the first time in a Volkswagen, the front seats of your ID.7 offer adaptive Climatronic cooling or heating with a drying function. A 700-watt sound system from Harman Kardon: 14 high-end loudspeakers, including a front center speaker and a trunk-mounted subwoofer, provide an impressive audio experience.

Safety, of course, is also elevated within the ID.7. A full suite of level-2 ready driver assist features will be available, including the new Park Assist Pro with Memory Function as optional equipment. The memory function is a unique addition to the Volkswagen EV lineup. With this, the ID.7 continuously records the last 55 yards driven and thus the parking situation. The driver either remains in the ID.7 or monitors the parking procedure from outside the vehicle using the smartphone app.
The new ID.7 is set to launch in North America at the start of 2024 – follow us on Facebook for updates on when to pre-order your very own.
